People of the Earth is a new project about living from our deepest values and stimulating acts of friendship between ten Londoners and ten refugees seeking to making their home in the UK.
The project is based in St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace between October and February, and if you’re living in London there are still a few places left and time to apply before the deadline of 25 September.
People of the Earth is a beautiful project bringing refugees together with fellow Londoners to sow seeds of friendship and challenge prejudice and fear. Based at St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace, the project involves a week of volunteering in Calais, organising social gatherings, sharing a place of meaning in London and co-creating narratives and images that speak to the themes of belonging, place, hopes and the future.
The deadline for applications is 25 September for individuals over 20 years old living in London and 14 October is the deadlines for organisations to refer refugees for the project. Further details and contact information can be found on St Ethelburga’s website.
