Resilience Toolbox – strategies for coping with pressure in refugee ministry (17 November)

Working with refugees and asylum seekers often means helping people in very difficult situations and hearing traumatic, personal stories. Pressure can build very quickly. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and, if we’re not careful, for compassion fatigue to set in.

That’s the thinking behind Welcome ChurchesResilience Toolbox training that is being held in Balham Salvation Army community church in London on Saturday 17 November 2018.

From 10am until 4pm, the event will help delegates think about how to protect themselves from burnout and develop the tools in self-care and debriefing others to ensure the emotional wellbeing of all those involved in refugee ministry.

The cost for places (which must be booked by 4 November) varies depending on whether your church is already supporting the Welcome Churches network.
